Do I need previous poker playing experience?

No.  We start from scratch.  Teaching you all aspects of the game.

How long does the course take? Can I finish in less than 4 weeks?

If you attend full time you can complete the class in 4 weeks.  Full time is 5 days a week, Tuesday through Saturday. Class hours are as follows: Day Classes are Monday thru Friday 12:00-4:00 PM. If you study hard and put in extra practice time you can complete the course earlier.

What if I cannot attend classes at those times? 

No problem. You may attend classes at your own pace.  You may attend as little as 2 days per week, or 3 hours per day.  It will take you longer to complete the course but you will get the same quality training.

How do I get a job when I graduate?

Upon completion of your course, and receiving your certificate, you will be eligible to audition at the many card rooms and casinos all over the country.  Part of the course covers how to audition for a job.

Do you have job placement assistance?

Yes. Although we do not guarantee you a position, we help you with finding and auditioning for a job in the many card rooms and casinos in the area. The casino industry is rapidly expanding and jobs are constantly available. We are on many card room and casinos call lists and assist you every step of the way.

How much do poker dealers make?

The starting salary in most card rooms for a full time dealer is approximately $16-$30 per hour (including tips) with full benefits.  Top dealers in some area make anywhere from $45,000 to $60,000 per year. 

What games do you teach?

Our poker course includes Hold em,Seven Card Stud, Omaha. These are the games that you need to know for a Poker Dealing audition.

Can I stop by and check out the school before I enroll?

Yes. We encourage you to stop by and see the school  before considering enrollment.  Our school is a fun learning environment.  

Do you use equipment similar to casinos?

Yes. Our tables and supplies are just like you see in the casinos.

What if I have a family or work obligation that forces me to stop school for a while?

With written notification to the school, you may take up to 3 months off and then return to continue your training.

When can I start classes?

Classes begin every once a month.

Can my age be an issue?

It cannot. Although you must be 21 to deal professionally in most casinos, there are new poker dealers whose ages are from 21 to 61. A young dealer can be very personable and exited about dealing. Casinos want dealers who are upbeat and energetic. Mature dealers can be regarded as dependable, always prepared for their job.  Casinos like this too.

Are there other fees beside the tuition?

No, all fees are covered in the tuition.  The school supplies you with a student kit which includes all of the items you need to practice at home.
